Alex is broadly interested in the mechanisms that facilitate the evolution of complex animal behaviors. While at Brown, Alex will study the morphology and physiology of manakins to answer questions about the evolution of elaborate courtship displays. He also aims to improve the accessibility of science, with a particular focus on the languages in which science is published.
